1. The First Entry!!!

Current Thought: "They gotta free me from this college thang!!!!"
Ya know, I don’t exactly know what took me so long to make my first journal entry. I think I just have a habit of holding back on doing things until I know everything is absolutely 100% completely fully perfect! But like…if I keep worrying about making things perfect FIRST then I’m never gonna get shit done!!!! So I’m going to sit down and start writing my very first journal entry here.
So. Hi hello, my name is Drey. This is my website, I tend to make and enjoy things. Lalala. Right now I’m knees deep in a bunch of summer class assignments, eek! It’s a whole fuckin lot, but I’m managing it, hopefully. The class that’s putting me through the wringer the absolute most is gonna be over by the end of next week, so I only gotta spend 13 more days in Hell City!!!!!!!!
But yea, aside from school stuff I feel like the only other personal thing I’ve had time to do lately was working on my little game called Would You Please Lend A Hand? I started working on it in the middle of March (also during a different set of Assignment Hell lmao).
It’s going to be an exploration narrative-heavy RPG about a harpy named…Harpy. They’re stepping into a brand new land to find some sort of meaning in their little life. In that soul-searching, they end up encountering a sphinx who seems to constantly be on the edge of snapping their little bird body in half. The sphinx; going against their urges, makes Harpy accept their deal into helping them with…something big happening in the next few days. Despite the amount of death clues surrounding the whole deal, Harpy goes along with it, though they themselves have a trick up their sleeve if anything goes south.
This is a story about finding yourself, misplaced trust, and dealing with a bunch of bullshit suddenly getting thrown at you.

I’ve mostly been sharing my progress with some friends, but hopefully I’ll be able to share some more stuff relating to the game publicly here as well through devlogs :]! Working on this game has been a whole lot of fun and I’ve gotten to explore mediums and programs I never would’ve thought of using before, let alone actually get comfortable with and actually have fun using! Like Blender, Godot, Fl Studio, etc etc. Wowie woaw! Expect some more WYPLAH news in the future, cause I’m very very intend of finishing up this game/it’s story no matter how long it takes!
Now excuse me as I go back to working on my one billion college assignments.
